Addressing the shortcomings of the traditional derivatives, this paper proposes a design method of improved digital derivatives with the research object of single-phase LC off-grid inverter. The improved derivative proves to have the same frequency characteristics as the ideal derivative. Finally, the improved derivative is applied in the capacitor voltage active damping control strategy. Experimental results confirm the feasibility of the proposed method.
