Abstract

A novel nonlinear dynamic model for planetary gear transmission system considering the effect of dynamic backlash and pressure angle is proposed in this paper. The proposed model is solved by numerical integration method. Subsequently, the novel model is compared with the previous model using the rotational speed as control parameter. The simulation results show that the dynamic responses of the two models are almost identical at low rotational speed. With the increasing of rotational speed, the new model exhibits richer nonlinear characteristics.
