STUDY ON CYCLIC BEARING CHARACTERISTICS OF TRIPOD SUCTION BUCKET FOUNDATIONS

Abstract

In order to study the influence of the long-period cyclic load on the horizontal bearing capacity of the foundation of the tripod suction jacket, a physical model test is carried out in the sandy soil foundation, and the one-way horizontal ultimate bearing capacity of the foundation after cyclic loading is analyzed considering the factors such as cyclic loading times, cyclic amplitude ratio and symmetry ratio as variables. The results show that with the increase of cyclic load amplitude ratio and cycle times, the compactness of the soil around the pile is effectively improved, and the horizontal unidirectional bearing capacity is enhanced, while the bearing capacity decreases linearly with the increase of the cyclic load symmetry ratio.
